About Becky

Allow me to introduce myself to those who may not yet know me. I'm Becky, serving as the National President of Ladies Circle GB&I, and I'm thrilled for the opportunity to hold this role.

For close to 15 years, I've been a dedicated member of Circle, residing near the picturesque city of Winchester in Hampshire. Originally hailing from the sunny Weston-super-Mare, it was my relocation to a new area that initially sparked my interest in joining Ladies Circle.

Before my involvement with Ladies Circle, I felt like a caterpillar in a world bustling with social butterflies. Confidence was a rarity, akin to spotting a unicorn in a supermarket. My idea of making an entrance was hoping to slip into a room unnoticed.

Public speaking terrified me to the point of wanting to hide in the nearest toilet. My social circle was so small, it could fit into a phone booth (remember those?).

Thanks to Ladies Circle, I've undergone a remarkable transformation from a caterpillar to a fully blossomed butterfly. It's as if I stumbled upon the magic potion for personal growth.

Ladies Circle has not only changed me but has also transformed countless others. Some members have elevated their careers using the skills and confidence acquired through our association. Additionally, we impact lives through our fundraising and community support initiatives.

These are just a couple of reasons why I pursued the role of National President—to give back to an association that has enriched my life, while ensuring its enduring impact on future generations.

Ladies Circle GB&I

Ladies Circle is for women aged 18 to 45 from various backgrounds across the country, all united in their desire to forge new friendships and connections. With over 70 Circles nationwide, we embrace the principles of fun, friendship, and fundraising. Each Circle operates uniquely, yet all are eager to welcome newcomers and guide them on their Circle journey.

Many women have encountered experiences they may never have imagined before joining Circle—be it axe throwing, abseiling, navigating an escape room, attending formal balls, or participating in charity fundraisers.

Having a rich history spanning 85 years, Ladies Circle has evolved with the times while preserving its core mission: to provide a platform for women to cultivate friendships, explore new horizons, and actively contribute to their communities. This pursuit can be challenging amidst the demands of modern life, including demanding careers, time constraints, and societal expectations placed on women. Yet, carving out essential "Me Time" remains vital.

Within our association, we boast a diverse array of remarkable women, including entrepreneurs, mothers, professionals, caregivers, and students. It is the collective diversity and expertise of these women that truly makes our club extraordinary.
